ABOUT US

Voted Society of the Year for 4 years running, it is not difficult to see why. From entering the university as a fresher to graduating, we are with you every step of the way. Our aim is to help students develop academically, socially and most importantly spiritually as they progress through university.

COMMUNITY

No matter your interests or beliefs, there is a place for you in ISoc. You can find us everywhere, including the multi-faith quiet contemplation room (J1.2 + J1.3), where you can relax and chat with other students. We congregate to pray together at least 3 times per day, so no matter your schedule you will always get to socialise with others, make new friends and discover what Islam truly is!

EVENTS

Our committee is made up of enthusiastic students dedicated to improving your experience at St George’s. We organise a two-week schedule full of exciting freshers’ events open to everyone. Our social sub-committee runs a series of events from sports (e.g. kickboxing and netball) to casual gatherings to destress and relax. Throughout the year, we host revision lectures for all semesters and provide necessary revision materials before exams.

CHARITY

iProjects hold many events throughout the year with the aim of giving back – as charity is a big part of Islam.

SUPPORT

Our welfare sub-committee is a team of students dedicated to listening and addressing any concerns that you may have.

Our Dawah sub-committee host events for those interested in understanding the principles of Islam or having some questions answered, with events such as Discover Islam Week and discover Quran Week being especially popular! During Ramadan, we host daily iftaars for students breaking their fast.
